I need a manicure, but I don't know what I should get done?

I start a new office job on Monday. I just quit my 4-day 12-hour shift waitressing gig and my nails look horrific. I need some help! I figure I might as well visit the local nail salon and get them prettied up. What should I get done? I was thinking of getting a french manicure but i've seen it done with a green stripe too.. that was really cool, but is that ok for work?I need a manicure, but I don't know what I should get done?
