Should i get french manicure acrylics (fake) or just polish on real nails?

lol am in the same situation as u r!!


well i used to alwaayys get acrylics .. but then they ruined my nails! and the real nails, they dont last much!! i dont knw !! now i want to get fake ones on, but i am not sure! let me knw abt ur results! lol Should i get french manicure acrylics (fake) or just polish on real nails?

I HAVE BEEN A COSMETOLOGIST FOR OVER 17 YEARS %26amp; MY INCOME WAS DOING THE ACRYLICS SCULPTING W/ PINK %26amp; WHITE POWDERS (USING A FORM INSTEAD OF GLUED ON TIPS)


IF ANYONE KNOWS THE TRUE MEANING OF WHAT IT DOES TO YOUR NAILS IT WOULD BE MYSELF. IT DOES THIN OUT THE LAYERS OF YOUR OWN NATURAL NAIL B/C THE TECHNIQUE REQUIRES FOR THE NATURAL NAIL TO HAVE THE TOP LAYER TO BE DULL %26amp;/ BUFFED OF IT'S SMOOTH SURFACE SO THE PRODUCT ADHERES CORRECTLY.





ALSO IT DEPENDS ON YOUR TECHNICIAN DOING THE PROCEDURE AND HOW MUCH EXACTLY THEY BUFF OFF FOR THE FIRST SET %26amp; FOR ALL THE FILL INS IN THE FUTURE.





THERE ARE PROS %26amp; CONS FOR THE ';FAKE'; NAILS. YOU SAID IT YOURSELF ';FAKE';......HAVE YOU EVER HAD THE ACRYLICS PUT ON?..... HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT GETTING THEM?....ANSWER YOURSELF IN 5 SECONDS %26amp; YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO FROM THERE!!





PROS:


1. THEY LOOK NICE (BUT SO CAN YOUR OWN IF DONE RIGHT %26amp; TAKE CARE OF THEM SUCH AS MAKING YOURSELF HAVE A HEALTHIER DIET TO ENCOURAGE BETTER NAILS)





2. NAIL POLISH STAYS ON LONGER ( BUT SO CAN YOUR OWN NAILS IF YOU DO THE PROCEDURE CORRECT AND USE A PROFESSIONAL SALON PRODUT SUCH AS OPI (BASE COAT, COLOR COAT, SUPER SHINY TOP COAT)








CONS:





1. FIRST INTITIAL START UP COST- $30-$45





2. FILL INS COST OF $20-$25 EVERY 2 WEEKS





3. THE SCARE OF GETTING A TECHNICIAN THAT DOES NOT PROPERLY STERLIZE THEIR TOOLS %26amp; IMPLEMENTS--THIS CAN LEAD TO NAIL FUNGUS %26amp; OTHER DISEASES. WORSE CASE IF NOT TAKEN CARE OF WHEN YOU GET IT - NAIL REMOVAL OR EVEN WORSE.





4. IN MEDICAL SITUATIONS EMTS %26amp;/ DOCTORS USE YOUR OWN NATURAL NAIL BEDS TO SEE IF YOU HAVE PROPERLY BLOOD CIRCULATION %26amp; THEY CAN'T SEE THAT IF YOU HAVE ';FAKE'; NAILS OVER YOUR OWN NAILS. (THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE REMOVED WHEN YOU HAVE MAJOR SURGERY)


IT REALLY DEPENDS ON YOU %26amp; THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT YOU ARE!





I PERSONALLY THINK THEY LOOK ';FAKE'; %26amp; IT TELLS YOU THAT THE PERSON MAY BE:





A.) THE TYPE TO NOT HAVE CONTROL OVER THEMSELF. SUCH AS ONE WHO BITES THEIR NAILS - THEY HAVE A NERVOUS HABIT OR INNER SITUATION THAT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED.





B.) SELFISH OR INTO THEMSELF... IN ORDER TO GO AND HAVE THE EASY SOLUTION OF HAVING FAKE NAILS PUT ON TO PACIFY THE SECURTIY OF FEELING GOOD %26amp; ATTRACTIVE.( YOU SHOULDN'T NEED ';FAKE'; STUFF TO FEEL ATTRACTIVE--YOU MUST LOVE YOURSELF FOR WHAT'S INSIDE %26amp; WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU!)





I THINK IT IS MORE ATTRACTIVE TO SEE A LADY WITH NATURAL LONG NAILS THAT ARE MANICURED WELL. IT SHOWS THAT SHE IS MORE INTO THE ';NATURAL'; WAY THEN ';THE QUICK FIX'; LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD........BE DIFFERENT......BE UNIQUE......BE BEAUTIFUL...... LET'S ADMIT LADIES....YOU KNOW THAT YOU WOULD PROBABLY BE MORE JEALOUS OF A LADY WHO HAS LONG ';NATURAL'; FRENCH MANICURED NAILS THEN A LADY WHO HAS ';FAKE'; FRENCH MANICURED NAILS.....YOU KNOW IT!.......





....AND YOU KNOW IT THAT A MAN (THAT IS WORTH BRINGING HOME TO MEET MOM %26amp; DAD) DEFINITELY WOULD PREFER THE NATURAL OVER THE FAKE....THE SAME GOES WITH A LOT OF MAKE UP. NATURAL IS THE WAY TO GO!!!!..................





IM SURE THOSE WHO ARE READING THIS HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS %26amp; ARE PROBABLY ';BOOING'; ME FOR MY OPINION....BUT THAT'S WHY YOU ASKED YOUR QUESTION FOR IS TO GET A FEEL FOR WHAT TO DO. AND WE ARE RESPONDING.

Should i get french manicure acrylics (fake) or just polish on real nails?
I had years of wearing acrylics, it's taken 2yrs to get my nails back to a half decent state. They were wrecked. If you want to get extensions go for gel or silk overlays they are much better for your nails than acrylics. If you decide on acrylics don't go for really cheap ones, go to a place like nails inc. as they don't use drills or anything. It costs a bit more but the damage isn't half as bad x x x
I get acrylics all the time not just for special occasions, I don't care if there bad for my nails because I rarely take them off. NOBODY has said I'm ';fake'; because most of the girls at my school get them or just don't care. Plus they look better and you don't have to worry about the polish chipping off.
There is no difference between gel, L%26amp;P (which is acrylic in professional term) or silk!!!!





AND there should be no damage to your natural nail if applied correctly by a fully %26amp; PROPERLY trained nail technician! Believe me, as I am one %26amp; spent 拢1000's on getting trained. I have been wearing enhancements for years and have no damage at all!





If you pick them off yourself and not have them removed professionally then you will get damage! Sounds that you lot have been going to Non Standard Salons which use MMA, which is usually the chinese/vietnamiese nail bars ... which will soon be banned!!





Get your nails done by a CREATIVE NAIL DESIGN technician %26amp; you wont look back!!!





PS ... Nails Inc are CRAP %26amp; have very poor customer service
i hav french mani acrylics....and i lovee them....but when i first got em done it was hard to do normal everyday things with them...(typing...EATING...etc.)...it was like i had to relearn to do everything...but youll like em in the long run....go for it!!

if your own nails are strong and the way you like them then leave them. i had acrylics for nearly 3 years. they've been off almosty a year now and my nails are only beginning to be strong now.
acrylics look much nicer than polish and they look great all the time which of course polished nails do not. All depends if you have time to constantly paint and repaint your nails.
Polish your real nails so that they can grow healthy. Once you have them long enough, go get a french/american manicure. They will look great and natural.
i'd go with your real nails because acrylics are very bad! my mom had them and before she got them her nails were super hard. Now they are not as hard and break really easily.
i think if you have got nice nails you should just polish your real nails it looks so much better fake nails look awful and tacky real wins every time :)
acrylics it u want lenght and want the nail polish to last longer but it will make ur nails thiner
