Whats my smartest option? Cost is not a factor. Because I'm a nurse I need to keep them really short but want something durable since I'm having a destination wedding. Acrylics vs. gel, vs. Pink and whites (what is that anyways?) vs, fiberglass???
Thanks so much!Torn between manicure options?
On me acrylic seem to look a little nicer than gel and both have held up against my VERY hands on type job.
For color, I'd definitly stick with the classic french manicure look but with a hint of pink (it should be barely noticeable!)
Congrats and good luck!!!!Torn between manicure options?
i would get gel because acrylics can break off more easily and they hurt your nails for a while after you get them on. pink (pink vs. white= the fill of the hood of your nail, pink makes them look more natural). no fiberglass (if you can avoid it) like you said you're having a destination wedding, so go with the most durable option you can get. also, get your nails done at a professional salon, many of those ';Nails 101'; and ';Super Nails'; type of places hire just graduated students who, no offense, aren't very meticulous about their work. good luck and congratulations.
Arcrylics would probably be the best bet, and i love when they air brush something on them how it looks.
fiberglass
hmm well everyone has their opinion, but personally I think that gel looks the best (most natural) and it is the most durable. As far as I know, their the easiest to fill too.
congratulations on getting married!
If you must, since I hate fake nails (I did it for a while, spending about 100 dollars per month only to realize after a couple of years that I looked a bit cheap), gels. I wouldn't do a pink and white because it probably won't look so great in your photos. Just a nice, short-ish gel nail with a French tip. A clear acrylic tip is particularly ugly.
