Thanks for answers..Nail Manicure-Who knows if you should tip after a manicure?
You definently should tip not just after a manicure but to others that help you as well. It is prim, proper, and polite and others would respect you for that.
Your advisor and friend,
LaurenNail Manicure-Who knows if you should tip after a manicure?
After reading over several etiquette pages on tipping, one even from Miss Manners, I would say that tip about 10% would be sufficient.
Tipping a manicurist is different than tipping a waiter or waitress, who get paid sometimes solely on tips from customers, however, this could also be the same case for manicurists, so it can be a tough one to call.
Depending on whether you go to a hair salon to get a manicure or a nail salon, would make a slight difference, as a hair salon (hair, nails, body, specialties) is more likely to profit more from the variety of services they offer.
Tips in general leave a tricky scenario for either party, one worrying about getting stiffed for a job, and the other worried that they might pay too much for a service they already are paid well for.
In either scenario, I stick to $3 to $5 dollars tip (for up to $40 worth of services). For sometimes less than a half hour of work (you sit and wait sometimes for the other 30 minutes), I think that that is sufficient enough.
Yes, I usually give 2 or 3 bucks for a $10 manicure.
Yes, definately ussually around 15-20 percent of how much it cost
Yes 15% is good. You should tip 20% if you liked them a lot.
Yes usally 10 percent 15 if they are good.
Definitely. If you feel they've done a good job, 20%.
