im thinking of getting one but i was watching a show and it showed this women that got a horrible bacteria infection from a manicure.(it was a cheap place i think) anyways,do u think a place in a big shopping mall would be an okay place? Is a mall a good, trustable place to get a manicure at..?
That depends. But generally, the answer is this: If the salon charges anything less than about $25 for a full set, you are dealing with a 'discount' salon. And shopping malls are filled with these discount salons. These places are notorious for lots of bad things, such as overfiling your nails and ruining them, causing pain during, and after your nail services. They use the cheapest products available (to charge the low prices), and are well known to use unsanitary files and implements - stuff that has been used on other customers and the n used again without first sanitizing, and disinfecting them - an easy way to get a nasty infection for sure. The same goes for the pedicures in these places. Most do not follow the laws which apply to disinfection of the pedicure thrones, and you can get some nasty infections from those things when they are not cleaned properly. The name of the game of discount salons is volume. They want to get as many people in and out the door every day. They literally rush you out the door. They charge so little that they cannot profit any other way but to take shortcuts wherever possible. A good nail salon with good techs will NOT take shortcuts, and will do a great job on your nails.Take a look at these short videos for the dangers of MMA (discount salons use this hazardous substance a LOT), and the dangers of nail salons in general. I am NOT trying to discriminate here, and to be totally fair, I have seen many American salons that have not-so-good standards either. So, it really pays to take your time and find a really good salon which has experienced, licensed techs, and uses the best products available, and whose techs actually care about their work, and about your health and well being. Discount salons do not care one bit about you, they care about your money, honey! So Take your time, and find someone really good to do your nails. Word of mouth is not always a good indicator of a good salon because many people simply cannot tell the difference between a bad, and a good salon. So, they're no help! Really good nail technicians are out there You just have to find them, then stick with them once you find them. Anyway:

In my opinion i would say NO because they are to cheap to afford their own business in a regular store not a store inside a store! But that is my opinion and you make they decision! Wish you the Best!
